MT: In the book, you write that you were influenced by the Beastie Boys and I know you recently inducted Run DMC into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. What do you make of rappers like Asher Roth, whose sound was obviously influenced by the Slim Shady album? There are other current artists who've also obviously been influenced by you. Does that make you feel good? Or do you even care?

EMINEM: Well, Asher Roth has actually said, I think, in a song that he was influenced by me. And that's fine. I feel great when other artists are influenced by me. I mean, it's certainly flattering. But as far as people saying he sounds like me and shit like that, well, I got his album and I don't think it sounds anything like me. I was just listening to it the other day, in fact. That's one of the "catch-up" music things I mentioned earlier. I really wanted to check him out because people have been telling me to check him out. And I think the kid is dope. I think he's good and I don't think he sounds like me. It's kinda sad that just because he's white and he raps, then he's automatically gonna get that.

MT: Well, I think people just need labels to latch onto. You say in the book that one of your goals was to use hip hop to bring people together and to lessen racial tension. I really think you succeeded at that in many ways. But I'm just curious: There was that piece in The Source all those years ago about Champtown and him accusing you of racism and all that shit. Does that still bother you? Are there any repercussions from that still? Or is that all in the past now?

EMINEM: I just feel like I've tried to put all my beefs and all those kinda things behind me now. Everything from The Source beef and all that shit. I'm just trying to like move forward now. Especially, you know, with sobriety and everything. I just wanna move forward.

Flo Rida Police in Lexington, Kentucky are looking to question two men who were traveling with rapper Flo Rida about allegations of animal cruelty.

The two men, who haven't been named, were spotted getting off Flo Rida's tour bus killing a rabbit before returning to the bus. The witness who spotted the two men said the animal was mutilated. There is no word on what provoked the men to attack the rabbit.

Flo Rida was in Kentucky promoting his new album R.O.O.T.S, which is due in stores on March 31. His single Right Round has passed the two million mark in downloads and is #1 on iTunes. His follow-up single Sugar is currently #5 on the iTunes charts..

After 10 years, a gold selling album and countless references bars Stanley “Flesh N Bone” Howse is now officially a free man.

The 34-year-old rapper, who was originally sentenced to twelve years for threatening a friend with an AK 47, was released from his California penitentiary early June 13 to the waiting arms of family and friends which included Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy and Wish Bone.

This now marks the first time that all five of the original members of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have been together in over a decade.

“It feels amazing, refreshing, exciting [and] I'm so happy for him to finally come home to his family and friends and fans,” Bone Thug’s longtime manager Steve Lobel told AllHipHop.com. “Flesh is a very great, loving, talented, creative individual. We have a lot of memories together. Hopefully we can have more.”

Bizzy Bone also reconciled and recently reunited with the group, officially making the group a quintet again.

According to The New York Post, Manhattan Federal judge Jed Rakoff sided with Lil' Kim and ruled that Lil' Cease and his company Ground Zero entertainment infringed upon Lil' Kim's rights.

In July of 2005 Lil' Kim won a temporary restraining order against the entire Junior M.A.F.I.A. and Ground Zero Entertainment to halt sales of the DVD.

Freekey Zekey in near fatal car accident

Dipset representative Freekey Zekey escaped death last night (April 15) after he walked away from a car crash while returning home from a recording session.

The Harlem-bred rapper's 2007 white S550 Benz was totaled in a three car pile-up at 115th Street and 1st Ave in Manhattan, according to a press release from his publicist, as Zeke (born Ezekial Jiles) was struck from behind while sitting at a red light.

The impact sent Zeke and a passenger hurling into the air and falling into a parked Hummer.

He spent the night at St. Luke's Hospital but was released with only minimal bruising.

"I'm just happy to know that Zeke was not severely injured," said fellow Dipset member Juelz Santana.

As SOHH previously reported, Zeke served over two years in the Durham Correctional Center in Durham, NC for trafficking ecstacy in 2004. Since then, he's inked a multi-million dollar deal with Asylum Records where he released his solo debut Book of Ezekeil last year.

The night of the accident, Zeke had been working on his sophomore album, due out this fall.
